Alessandra Hirsch, MD is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center who specializes in opinion writing and reproductive health activism. She first became engaged in women’s public health while working for PharmedOut, a watchdog group which studies pharmaceutical marketing tactics. Since then, she has written numerous pieces covering subjects such as reproductive justice, healthcare workers’ rights, and IVF access.
